Takashi Koto

Takashi Koto is the Owner of JTN. He was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He has been living in the Boston area for twenty years, and has been working in computer translation for over ten years. In addition, he has translated several full texts into Japanese, including the latest book Sonic Design: The Nature of Sound and Music by Robert Cogan and Pozzi Escot, Molto Agitato: The Mayhem Behind the Music at the Metropolitan Opera by Johanna Fiedler, The Stravinsky: Chronicle of a Friendship by Robert Craft, The Evenings with Horowitz: A Personal Portrait by David Dubal, and The Memory Of All That: The Life Of George Gershwin by Joan Peyser. In addition, while living in Tokyo he served as editor for the musical journal Ongaku Geijutsu. In addition to his
translation experience, he is an accomplished
musician and composer. He received his Ph.D. in Music
from Harvard University, M.M. in Composition from the New
England Conservatory, and his B.M. in Musicology/Theory
from Kunitachi Music College. He has also received the
Irino Prize, established for the late composer Yoshiro
